Link to this answerDo I have to return at my exact expected pickup time?
Day rates cover your belongings until closing at 9:30 p.m. Your expected pickup time is for planning; you do not need to watch the clock.
For a shorter service window, choose your arrival and return times. We calculate half-hour blocks rounded up, with a 30-minute minimum. At six billed hours or more, day rates apply. If your return time or items change, contact VALIZE to recalculate. Estimates assume normal available space; final sizes, capacity and total are confirmed at check-in.
#What is VALIZE’s smoking policy?
VALIZE customers and visitors are not permitted to smoke or vape inside the Cloakroom or directly in front of the Cloakroom.
Within Plaza Romy, VALIZE is responsible for enforcing applicable local, state, and federal no-smoking regulations for its own employees, customers, visitors, vendors, and business partners.
Smoking must take place outside Plaza Romy and away from plaza entrances.
*Customers or visitors who refuse to comply may be denied service and asked to leave. Refunds may be requested, but approval is at VALIZE’s discretion.
Link to this answerItems and Pricing
What types of items can I check in at VALIZE?
VALIZE accepts most common travel items, including rolling suitcases, duffel bags, backpacks, shopping bags, beach bags, and other soft-sided personal items.
Sports equipment, unusually shaped pieces, oversized luggage, and other special items may be accepted following an on-site assessment.
Link to this answerDo you offer shorter service windows?
Yes. Choose “Set my return time” in the calculator or check-in preparation. Shorter windows use your chosen arrival and return times, with a 30-minute minimum and half-hour blocks rounded up. At six billed hours or more, day rates apply. If your plans or items change, contact VALIZE to recalculate. Final sizes, capacity and total are confirmed at check-in.

Calculate a shorter window ⟶How does VALIZE determine the price?
Day rates are based on each rolling case or provided fillable bag and its size. A shorter-window estimate also uses your chosen holding period and the shared check-in adjustment for multiple standard pieces. The calculator applies the same pricing formula used at the Cloakroom. Sports and specialty items are MXN $700 per item for the day. Overnight and multi-day holding require a separate quote.

#Can I check in more than one suitcase or items for an entire group?
Yes. VALIZE can accommodate multiple pieces for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
Advance notice is not required, although contacting us before arriving can be helpful for particularly large parties or an unusual number of items.
Link to this answerDoes VALIZE accept oversized luggage or sports equipment?
Often, yes. Sports equipment, extra-large luggage, and unusually shaped items are evaluated individually based on their size, handling requirements, and available capacity.
Contact us in advance if you would like to confirm whether a particular item can be accommodated.
Link to this answerAre there items VALIZE cannot accept?
VALIZE cannot accept illegal, hazardous, explosive, flammable, leaking, perishable, or improperly contained items. We may also decline any item that could create a safety, security, or operational concern.
A Cloakroom Attendant may ask about an item’s contents or inspect its exterior before accepting it.

#What is a provided fillable, and can our group share one?
Smaller, non-wheeled personal items are not accepted loose. They must be checked inside a VALIZE-provided fillable so the contents can be protected and the group can be secured, sealed, tagged, and handled as one checked piece. Examples include purses, backpacks, weekender duffles, gym bags, shopping bags, and other odds and ends you would rather not carry.
Groups are encouraged to share fillables. A fillable may contain any items VALIZE can accept, provided nothing is sharp or likely to damage the bag, the bag is not overfilled, and it closes normally without being forced.
Wheeled, rigid, oversized, or specialty items that do not belong in a fillable are classified separately by the Cloakroom Attendant.
Link to this answerAre there service fees or extra insurance charges?
No. VALIZE does not add service fees or charge a separate insurance surcharge. The confirmed price for your agreed item sizes and service is your total ticket price.
VALIZE is a purpose-built facility with controlled item handling, and the business carries insurance. Insurance is not sold as a separate mandatory add-on to your visit. This does not imply unlimited coverage; any coverage remains subject to the applicable policy terms.
If your items or service requirements change, the attendant confirms the revised total before check-in.
Link to this answerIdentification, Check-In, and Security
Must I enter my ID or upload a photo online?
No. ID details are optional online. Adding them now lets us prepare your record and saves time at check-in. Your original, valid, government-issued photo ID is mandatory on site at check-in and pickup. A photo of all your items together is also optional and helps us prepare tags and fillables. Do not include identification documents in that photo.
What forms of identification does VALIZE accept?
VALIZE accepts valid, government-issued photo identification, including:
- Passports
- INE identification cards
- State- or province-issued driver’s licenses
- Other recognized government-issued photo IDs
The name and photograph must be clear, and the identification must be valid at the time of check-in.
Link to this answerWhy does VALIZE require identification?
Identification allows us to register each party accurately, maintain controlled custody of checked items, and verify that belongings are returned only to an authorized person.
The identification presented at check-in also serves as the customer’s claim credential at pickup.
Link to this answerHow does VALIZE keep my belongings secure?
Every accepted item is registered, sealed, tagged, and tracked through check-in and pickup.
Belongings are placed within a secure, employee-only holding area and released only after the customer’s identity has been verified.
Our handling practices are informed by the discipline of airline operations and adapted specifically for travelers moving through a destination.
Link to this answerCan someone else collect my belongings?
Yes. You can include one alternate pickup person when preparing your check-in. Adding their details online does not authorize collection by itself.
The alternate person must attend check-in, present their original valid government-issued photo ID, and be verified and authorized by a Cloakroom Attendant. Only people registered and verified at check-in may collect checked items.
For groups returning separately, tell the attendant who may need to collect belongings. Items are released only after a positive match with an authorized person’s photo ID and the check-in record.
Link to this answerWill I need to keep track of a claim ticket?
No. There is no claim ticket, tag, or other item for you to carry while enjoying your day. The government-issued photo ID presented at check-in also serves as your claim credential.
Keep your ID with you and do not place it inside any checked item. Cloakroom Attendants will not unseal an item or remove belongings from the secure holding area until the ID presented at pickup has been positively matched with the check-in record.

Is VALIZE a luggage-storage service?
VALIZE provides secure luggage and personal-item holding—the service travelers commonly search for as luggage storage.
However, VALIZE is designed as a destination cloakroom rather than a conventional storage counter. It combines secure item handling with hospitality services created specifically for the hours between arrival, check-in, checkout, and departure.
Link to this answerWhat is a destination cloakroom?
A destination cloakroom is a dedicated place where travelers can check in luggage and personal items while continuing to enjoy the destination unencumbered.
VALIZE introduced this hospitality-focused approach to give travelers more useful time in Puerto Vallarta—not simply somewhere to place a suitcase.
Link to this answerHow is VALIZE different from app-based luggage-storage platforms?
App-based luggage-storage platforms generally connect travelers with unrelated hotels, shops, or other businesses that agree to hold luggage alongside their regular operations.
VALIZE is a dedicated travel-hospitality service built specifically around the care of luggage and personal items. Our Cloakroom includes identification requirements, item registration, sealing and tracking, controlled pickup procedures, a secure employee-only holding area, and a private changing room for travelers in transition.
At VALIZE, holding your belongings is not an added service. It is our entire purpose—so the only thing left for you to do is...
